God’s Calling

Satan “deceives the whole world” (Revelation 12:9). The gospel is veiled to those blinded by the god of this age (2 Corinthians 4:3–4). That is why tens of thousands of denominations can name Christ and still miss what He taught. Many will say “Lord, Lord” and hear, “I never knew you… you who practice lawlessness” (Matthew 7:21–23). Lip service without obedience is empty worship (Mark 7:6–8).

Not everyone is being called now

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him” (John 6:44, 65). Christ spoke in parables so that seeing they would not see — because it was not yet given to the crowds to understand (Matthew 13:10–17). He called His flock “little” (Luke 12:32). If God were trying to convert the whole world in this age, the results would look like failure. He is not failing. He is calling firstfruits now — and He has a time appointed for the rest.

Fair to all — in His order

God “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4). He is “not willing that any should perish” (2 Peter 3:9). Those truths meet in the plan pictured by the Last Great Day: a resurrection to physical life when books are opened and the masses who never knew Him receive their first genuine opportunity (Revelation 20:11–13; Ezekiel 37). The Lake of Fire is real for those who willfully refuse (Revelation 20:14–15). Eternal torment of the ignorant is not the God of Scripture. He is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34).

How you know He may be calling you

If that is happening, it is a blessing. Those called now may share in the first resurrection and reign with Christ (Revelation 20:4–6; Hebrews 11:35). That path runs through repentance, baptism, the laying on of hands, and a life of growing and overcoming inside the body of Christ — the Church of God — with a ministry that feeds the flock (Ephesians 4:11–13).

What to do

Do not take any teacher’s word as final — including this page. Open the Book. Prove it. Then act. Seek fellowship with those walking the same road. God is not playing games with your eyes. If He has opened them, walk while you have the light.
